  so, the anti-gmo movement scored another victory today.

  chipotle has opted to only use non-gmo food items.. hooray for them.

  i'm pretty neutral on the subject, mostly because, other than questionable treatment of farmers, i have seen no evidence to avoid gmo's for health reasons.. basically, my neutrality boils down to the stance that i'll buy non-gmo, so long as the price is reasonable.

  GMOs themselves are fine. The politics and the shitty corporations behind them are evil but that's a whole other topic.

  It's sad that JWs have to be told about tipping and not abusing free stuff at hotels. The sad fact is that for a LOT of JWs the convention is the only time they really get out of their home area so they have no idea how to function.

  i ran into a former jw friend from my childhood.

  absolutely. For a very long time Bethel had an unwritten 'no getting married rule.' As soon as that was dropped all the GB and other 'heavyweights' went and got themselves wives who were much much younger.
